Of Course Vegan

Brown University is now one step closer to humanity in approaching food, thanks to the hard work of student activists at the prestigious university. The school has withdrawn all financial support to factory farms that confine their hens in cruel, wire battery cages, recent reports indicated. 

The Brown Vegetarian Society worked to gather the support of the Brown University Council of Students, a number of campus-based environmental organizations, and a number of student deans in an effort to end the horrific conditions of hens used for their eggs.

They also gathered over 1,500 signatures from the Brown student body, echoing the overwhelming public support for an end to this cruel confinement system.

Thanks to their efforts and persistence, they were able to work with the Brown Dining Services Director to achieve their goal of 100 percent cage-free eggs at Brown.

Congratulation to the student activists and hopefully other universities will follow Brown…
